Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture

The Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) can impact the viticulture (grape), fruit tree, plant nursery and timber industries, which contribute billions of dollars each year to Pennsylvania's (PA’s) economy. The SLF Order of Quarantine and Treatment was created to protect the economy and residential quality of life by setting compliance expectations designed to stop the spread of this invasive pest to new areas within or outside of the current quarantine zone. PA’s SLF Compliance and Enforcement Team mission is to help businesses protect their neighbors and communities, agricultural industries and PA's business vitality by providing compliance assistance and conducting risk assessments. We interact with businesses and communities in a variety of ways such as onsite audits and compliance support, roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, and investigations of SLF reports involving non-agricultural businesses.
