The Philadelphia Belt Line Railroad Company (“PBL”) is a rail terminal switching carrier engaged in transportation-related development and real estate leasing in the Port of Philadelphia.

PBL directly owns or has an interest in 6.5 miles of railroad infrastructure plus an additional 10 miles of trackage rights over a joint railroad, as well as other fee simple owned property and right of way within the Port of Philadelphia. PBL leases rail operating infrastructure and has also entered into real estate leases for a number of billboard locations.

PBL provides site development and transportation planning support services for companies desiring to locate or expand in proximity to PBL’s rail network near the Philadelphia waterfront. PBL has assisted in the development and expansion of Philadelphia-based terminals, allowing for a significant increase in import volumes through the Port of Philadelphia.
